Kids Halloween Candy Code

I’ve heard of a similar system used by homeless people but this one’s for kids. A detailed list of markings kids make to let other kids know what awaits them at each house come Halloween. I’ll be looking for the house giving out the 100% Angus Beef.

Sesame Street, 1969

I read an interesting article about the old Sesame Street in the NY Times. It brought back some memories. Though I wasn’t alive in the late 60’s early 70’s I’m still old enough to have seen the reruns. I remember that dingier Sesame Street with it’s, by today’s standards, not entirely kosher messages.

Puts me in the mood for some Fraggle Rock.

3D TV – No Glasses!

No glasses-necessary 3D tv? Sounds good to me, though the price tag is a bit steep. I guess I’ve got a few years to save up.

FCC Chairman Backs Use Of White Spaces

I like the idea of freeing up this spectrum. It could result in cheaper and faster internet connections fostering competition and increasing service to consumers.

Companies like Dell (Dell), Google, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and Motorola have been lobbying the FCC for years to authorize use of this spectrum. They say it could be used to cheaply connect underserved communities to the Internet, as well as open the door for innovative new services. Google said more than 18,000 have signed its online petition to free up the white spaces.
